Our Mission
At Eco Ember, we believe fire should bring people together, not fill the air with smoke. We create premium smokeless fire pits and eco fire products designed for powerful, clean-burning performance. Whether it’s a braai in your backyard, a campfire in the Drakensberg, or a weekend on the Wild Coast, our products deliver heat you can count on, without the harmful smoke.
The Story Behind the Flame
EcoEmber is a proudly South African company dedicated to transforming the way we make fire. With our expertly engineered smokeless fire pits, we’re setting a new standard for eco-conscious outdoor heating, reducing smoke, improving efficiency, and championing sustainable production.
Founded by Andreas, a seasoned product designer and engineer, EcoEmber was born out of an inspiration of improving smoky firepits that wasted heat and harmed the environment. He combined his deep technical know-how with a passion for nature to design a better way to burn, one that’s hotter, cleaner, and smarter.
Engineered by Experience,
Built for South Africa
Our smokeless fire pits are crafted from 100% stainless steel and built locally using South African-sourced materials and labour. Designed for efficiency and longevity, each unit features:
- Full stainless steel body
- Internal ash tray for insulation and easy cleaning
- Carry handles for portability
- Deck-safe design when the tray is properly fitted
- Optional gas outlet for hybrid lighting assistance
Designed to work with any standard wood, including soft woods like eucalyptus and wattle. There’s no need for expensive hardwoods. For optimal airflow and combustion, avoid oversized logs or overloading the pit too quickly.
Why EcoEmber Is Truly
Eco-Friendly
Most traditional fires release harmful gases due to incomplete combustion. Our design ensures complete combustion occurs within the unit, dramatically reducing smoke and emissions. That’s better for your lungs — and the planet.
- Smokeless braai-ready: Enjoy outdoor cooking without smoke in your face
- Sustainable packaging: No plastic, minimal waste
- Efficient heat transfer: Less fuel, more warmth
